another book read.
Nantucket Nights by Elin Hilderbrand.
That book is so intriguing. I read it in like three sittings, which is rare for me. [I am a slow reader.] What I got out of it was that friends can turn their back on you, appreciate those you love, my life is so boring, a change of scenery can do some good on a person’s mind, you can know somebody for a long time and still not really know them, so get to know people.
recommend: yes! for those who need some drama in their life, and for those who don’t but need an escape.
<3 :]
Better Way by Brighten.
the sadist part:
What is the effect on beaches, marshes and wildlife?
Birds: 1,866 collected dead; 1,120 collected alive; 505 released
Sea turtles: 463 collected dead; 197 collected alive; 9 nests transported; 56 hatchlings released
Mammals (including dolphins): 59 collected dead; 5 collected alive; one released
The number of fish, shrimp, oysters and other sea creatures killed or harmed is unknown.
I just finished another novel. Wow, my summer is just so wonderful. This is the most I have ever read in one summer! I just finished reading The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. I know it’s kinda old, but I’ve never read it and have yet to see the movie so I figured I’d catch up on the world.
Summer Books
-The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood [comments on it]
-A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks
-The Beach Club by Elin Hilderbrand [such a good novel!]
-The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
I want to read Nicholas Sparks’ newest book, Safe Haven, and the one before The Last Song, The Lucky One. They are in the process of making a movie from The Lucky One. I never realized how many movies came from his novels; he has written so many!
Also the author Elin Hilderbrand has struck my interest. Her novels are all based in Nantucket, Mass., and are great summer reads! I’m excited for those, too!
Well, I think I have made myself look like a nerd enough for the day! Now I am off to do homework for my summer college class…which is pretty nerdy, too! Have a great day!
